Obtaining Police Certificate
olice Clearance: She will need a police certificate for UK, and ALSO if she lived outside of UK after she reached the age of 16, she should obtain a police certificate from each Country/Region she lived in, for over a year)
No police Certificate is needed for time spent in USA.
How to obtain a police certificate for UK:
Police Certificates for the United Kingdom: A visa applicant who has resided in the United Kingdom for 6 months or more since the age of 16, is required to obtain a police certificate from the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO). Further information is available from their website at www.acpo.police.uk . This police certificate will serve to advise the U.S. Embassy, London whether or not any criminal conviction is held against him/her. The police certificate will be sent to the applicant’s address provided at the time of application. Please note that the Immigrant Visa Unit considers the police certificate valid for 12 months from the date of issuance, not six months as stated on the certificate.

If she has lived in other countries, she should also apply for their police certificates asap, as depending on the country they may take a long time to provide. Most Police certificates are valid for 1 year.
Medical Exam Details
After she has mailed her readiness documents to the consulate, she should receive confirmation from the consulate her packet has been received, along with instructions to obtain a medical exam. She should arrange to have her medical at latest 1-2 weeks before her consulate interview. She should fill in and bring her, passport, three visa photos, and her vaccination records. It is recommended she brings her vaccinations up to date while at the clinic. This is required later when she applies for her Green card in the USA, so by doing it now she will save herself time and expense later. The clinic will courier the results directly to the consulate. The Embassy will not schedule the interview until they have received the results of the medical examination.
