Personal K-1 Fiancé Visa Support
12 Steps I Follow to Help K-1 Fiancé Visa Couples
The K-1 fiancé visa process can feel confusing and impersonal. My approach is organized, personal, and step-by-step—from our first conversation through petition preparation, the consular interview, marriage, and Adjustment of Status.
How VisaCoach Works
How VisaCoach Helps Couples Through the K-1 Visa Process
VisaCoach provides K-1 fiancé visa help through 12 organized stages: consultation, background review, case audit, a customized checklist, evidence review, a relationship statement, I-129F preparation, USCIS support, consular preparation, interview preparation, marriage and Adjustment of Status, and continuing immigration support.
I begin by getting to know you and your fiancé or fiancée as people, not merely as names entered into government forms. Each step is designed to help organize the facts, identify possible concerns early, and present your genuine relationship clearly and consistently.
Careful preparation cannot guarantee approval. USCIS and the U.S. embassy or consulate make the final decisions. My role is to help you avoid preventable mistakes, prepare the required forms and supporting documents, and understand what comes next.

The VisaCoach K-1 Process
The 12 Steps in My K-1 Fiancé Visa Support Process
Every couple has a different history, so the details of the work are customized. The overall process follows these twelve stages.
Step 1
Personal Consultation
We discuss how you met, how your relationship developed, your visits together, your plans to marry, and any facts that could affect the case.
This may include previous marriages, prior petitions, visa refusals, criminal history, age or language differences, limited in-person time together, financial concerns, or other possible complications.
We also consider whether the K-1 visa appears to be the appropriate path for your plans and make sure both partners understand that the visa is only one stage in a longer immigration journey.
Step 2
Complete Background Information
I provide detailed questions and instructions covering both partners’ addresses, employment, previous relationships, marriages, children, travel, immigration history, and the history of the relationship.
It is better to identify a possible issue before the petition is prepared than after the case has already been filed.
Step 3
The VisaCoach Audit
I review the information for inconsistencies, missing dates, unclear explanations, and details that may create questions.
I compare addresses with employment history, travel dates with the relationship timeline, prior-marriage records with the forms, and the evidence with the story being presented.
The goal is not to manufacture a perfect story. It is to present the true story accurately, consistently, and understandably.
Step 4
Customized Document Checklist
I prepare a case-specific checklist for identity records, civil documents, photographs, travel records, communications, financial information, and relationship evidence.
The petition must establish the required eligibility elements, including U.S. citizenship, legal ability to marry, intention to marry, and—subject to any applicable exception—the required in-person meeting.
Step 5
Evidence Review
You send me the documents and memories that tell the story of your relationship. I review them to identify the evidence that best explains how the relationship began, continued, and developed.
More evidence is not always better. A disorganized mountain of screenshots can make the important facts harder to find, so I help select and organize material that is clear, relevant, and manageable.
Step 6
Relationship Statement
A thoughtful relationship statement can connect the dates and documents into an understandable story.
It may explain how you met, how the relationship became serious, your visits, your engagement, your communication while apart, and your plans for marriage and life together.
Step 7
I-129F Petition Preparation
The U.S. citizen begins the K-1 process by filing Form I-129F with USCIS.
I help prepare and organize the applicable forms, supporting documents, relationship evidence, statements, and filing materials. You review the completed work, confirm that the information is true and correct, and sign where required.
Government forms, fees, editions, and filing procedures can change, so final filing instructions must always be checked at the time of submission.
Step 8
USCIS Review and Case Support
After USCIS receives the petition, it issues a receipt notice and the case waits for adjudication.
During the waiting period, I help the couple prepare for later stages by maintaining relationship evidence, collecting updated financial records, reviewing civil-document requirements, and preparing for the medical examination and interview.
When USCIS issues a Request for Evidence, we review exactly what is being requested and prepare a focused response.
Step 9
NVC and Consulate Preparation
After USCIS approval, the petition moves through the National Visa Center and then to the U.S. embassy or consulate handling the visa application.
I help the couple understand the assigned post’s instructions, visa application steps, fees, account registration, document collection, interview scheduling, and local requirements.
Step 10
Medical Exam and Visa Interview
The foreign fiancé or fiancée must complete a medical examination with an authorized panel physician and attend the consular interview with the required documents.
We review the relationship history, important dates, previous marriages or petitions, future plans, and any areas that may receive closer attention.
The best preparation is to know your genuine relationship, listen carefully, answer truthfully, and provide the requested documents.
Step 11
Arrival, Marriage, and Adjustment of Status
After admission to the United States in K-1 status, the couple must marry each other within 90 days.
Marriage does not automatically produce a green card. The foreign spouse generally must apply for Adjustment of Status and may also apply for employment authorization and travel permission, depending on the circumstances.
Step 12
Continuing Immigration Support
My work with many couples continues beyond the K-1 visa interview.
I may help with Adjustment of Status after marriage, removal of conditions when conditional residence applies, and eventually naturalization when the person becomes eligible and chooses to apply.
The goal is continuity, so you do not have to begin from zero at each new immigration milestone.
The Journey Continues
Help After the K-1 Visa Is Approved
Visa approval is not the end of the process. I help couples prepare for entry to the United States, marriage within 90 days, and the next filing for Adjustment of Status. Depending on the case, continuing support may later include removal of conditions and naturalization.
Planning ahead helps couples understand the additional forms, supporting documents, government fees, and relationship evidence that may be required after the wedding.
